2:3. “ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದೇನಂದರೆ, ‘ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ಬಲವಂತ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಜನರು ನಿಮಗೊಂದು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ನಿಮಗೊಂದು ಉರುಲಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಸುಳ್ಳುದೇವರುಗಳು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬಲೆಯಂತೆ ಉರುಲಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.”

2:3. ಆದದರಿಂದ--ನಾನು ಸಹ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳಂತಿರುವರು; ಅವರ ದೇವರುಗಳು ನಿಮಗೆ ಉರುಲಾಗುವವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೆನು.

2:3. At that time I also warned you, 'If you disobey, I will not drive out the Canaanites before you. They will ensnare you and their gods will lure you away.'"

2:3. So now I declare that I will no longer drive out the people living in your land. They will be thorns in your sides, and their gods will be a constant temptation to you."

2:3. Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.
