7:8. ಆದರೆ ಪಾಪವು ಆ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನೇ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬಗೆಯ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆರಳಿಸಿತು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಪಾಪವು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತು. ಆದರೆ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

7:8. ಆದರೆ ಪಾಪವು ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಿಂದ ಅನುಕೂಲ ಹೊಂದಿ ಸಕಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ದುರಾಶೆಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿತು. ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವು ಇಲ್ಲದಿರು ವಾಗ ಪಾಪವು ಸತ್ತದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.

7:8. But sin, seizing the opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of wrong desires. For apart from the law, sin is dead.
