18. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಒಂದು ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನೊಡನೆ ಒಂದು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಈ ನಾಡನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸ್ ಮಹಾನದಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವ ನಾಡನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು.
