17. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರೂ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೂ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಗಳೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಅವರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಕೇಡನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬರಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಾನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುವಾಗ ಅವರು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯು ವಾಗ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

17. “ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ದೇವರೂ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆಂದನು: ‘ಯೆಹೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ಕೇಡುಗಳು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿರುವೆನು. ಆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಡುಗಳು ಙೇಗನೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಆ ಜನರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಅವರನುಐ ಕೂಗಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ಓಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.”‘
