4. ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ನಾನು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು ಅತ್ತು. ಕೆಲವು ದಿವಸ ದುಃಖಿಸಿ ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡಿ, ಪರಲೋಕದ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--

4. ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮಿನ ಪೌಳಿಗೋಡೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ಜನರ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ನಾನು ತುಂಬಾ ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿಗೊಂಡೆನು; ನಾನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಅತ್ತೆನು; ದುಃಖಕ್ರಾಂತನಾದೆನು; ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಅನೇಕ ದಿವಸಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡಿ ಪರಲೋಕದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದೆನು.
