22. ಆದರೆ ದಾವೀದನು--ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಏನು? ಈಹೊತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಕೊಲೆಯಾಗಬಾರದು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ನಾನು ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತೇನಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದನು.

22. ದಾವೀದನು, “ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಲಿ? ನೀವಿಂದು ನನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ. ವಿಶೇಷವಾದ ಈ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಇಸ್ರೇಲನನ್ನು ಸಾವಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುವುದು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದೇ? ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ದಿನ ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿಗೆಲ್ಲ ರಾಜನೆಂಬುದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ” ಎಂದನು.
