19. ಹಲವಾರು ಜನಾಂಗದ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಷೆಯ ಜನರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತುಂಬ ಹೆದರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮಹೋನ್ನತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ರಾಜನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನು. ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಯಾರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ತನಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದವರನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬಂದವರನ್ನು ಏರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬಂದವರನ್ನು ಇಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
