13. ಅವನು ಗೇಹ ಜಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಇಗೋ, ಈ ಸಕಲ ಚಿಂತೆಯಿಂದ ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಚಿಂತಿಸಿದಿ; ನಿನಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ದ್ದೇನು? ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗಡಲಾದರೂ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯ ಸಂಗಡಲಾದರೂ ಮಾತನಾಡ ಬೇಕೋ ಎಂದು ಇವಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕ ವಳು--ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಜನರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ವಾಸವಾಗಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದಳು.

13. ಎಲೀಷನು ಗೇಹಜಿಗೆ (ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ), “ನೀನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ‘ನೋಡು, ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಉಪಚರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದಷ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿರುವೆ. ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ನಿನಗೇನಾದರೂ ಉಪಕಾರವಾಗಬೇಕೇ? ನಿನ್ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ರಾಜನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಅಥವಾ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ನಾವು ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕೇ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳು” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು, “ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರೊಡನೆ ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದಳು.
