2. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ತೆಕೋವದಿಂದ ಕರೆತರಲು ಸಂದೇಶಕರನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಈ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಳಾದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ ಯೋವಾಬನು, “ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನ ಚರ್ಮಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ತಲೆಕೂದಲಿಗಾಗಲಿ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ; ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿರುವ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಶೋಕಸೂಚಕ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೋ. ಸತ್ತವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಂತೆ ನಟಿಸು.
