8. ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಅನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮಾರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಾದ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನು ನಾವು ನಮಗೆ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಇದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದೆವು. ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನು ಮಾರಿ ಬಿಡುವಿರೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವರು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾರ ಲ್ಪಡುವರೋ ಅಂದೆನು. ಆಗ ಅವರು ಮೌನವಾಗಿ ದ್ದರು; ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು.

8. “ನಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೂದಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ಪರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಲಾಮರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾರಿದ್ದರು. ಅಂಥವರನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕ್ರಯಕೊಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗುಲಾಮತನದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದೆವು. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಈಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ಗುಲಾಮರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ” ಎಂದೆನು. ಸೇರಿಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತರೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೂ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಬಾಯಿ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಏನೂ ಹೇಳಲಿಕ್ಕೂ ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
