21. ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅದರ ಸುವಾಸನೆಯು ಗಮಗಮಿಸಲು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ--ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವ ದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹೃದಯದ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಯು ಅವನ ಚಿಕ್ಕತನದಿಂದಲೇ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದು. ನಾನು ಈಗ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಜೀವಿಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಹರಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

21. ಈ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳ ಸುವಾಸನೆಯು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನೊಳಗೆ, “ಜನರನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಇನ್ನೆಂದೂ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಜನರು ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಕೆಟ್ಟವರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಇನ್ನೆಂದೂ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಜೀವಿಯನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಮತ್ತೆಂದೂ ನಾನು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
