13. ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿರು; ನಾಳೆ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಅವನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕನ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಯಿತು; ಅವನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕನ ಕಾರ್ಯಮಾಡಲು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ--ನಾನೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕನ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಉದಯ ಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೂ ಮಲಗಿರು ಅಂದನು.

13. ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರು. ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವನೋ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನಾಳೆ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ನೋಡೋಣ. ಅವನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲು ಒಪ್ಪಿದರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು. ಅವನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲು ಒಪ್ಪದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಎಲೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಣೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಬೆಳಗಾಗುವವರೆಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
