14. ಆಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಹಾಳುಬಿದ್ದ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಡುಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳೂ ಕುರಿಗಳೂ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವವು. ಕಾಗೆಗಳೂ ಗೂಬೆಗಳೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು ಒಂದನ್ನೊಂದು ಕರೆಯುವವು. ಬಾಗಿಲ ಹೊಸ್ತಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಗೆಗಳು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವು. ಕಪ್ಪುಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ನಿರ್ಜನವಾದ ಮನೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವು.
