16. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಕೃಪೆ ಯಿಂದಲೇ ದೊರೆಯುವ ಆ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಸಿಕ್ಕುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವು ಅಬ್ರಹಾ ಮನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಅಂದರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಆಧಾರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ವಲ್ಲದೆ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಂಥ ನಂಬಿಕೆ

16. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಜನರು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ದೇವರ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ವಾಗ್ದಾನವು ಉಚಿತ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯಾಗಬೇಕೆಂತಲೇ ಹೀಗಾಯಿತು. ವಾಗ್ದಾನವು ಉಚಿತ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ಈ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧೀನರಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಂತೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
