25. ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಆ ದೂತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಯೋವಾಬನಿಗೆ--ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿನಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಗೆ ಯಿಲ್ಲದ್ದಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಬಾರದು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕತ್ತಿಯು ಇವನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಸರಿ ಅವನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಸರಿ ತಿಂದು ಬಿಡುವದು. ನೀನು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಯುದ್ಧವು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಲವಾಗಿರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸು ಅಂದನು.
