8. ಆಮೇಲೆ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದನು. ಪಶ್ಚಿಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇತೇಲ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಿತ್ತು, ಪೂರ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಆಯಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಒಂದು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದನು.
