7. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ಈ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯು ಎಲ್ಲರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ, [‡ ರೋಮಾ. 14:14,22,23] ಕೆಲವರು ಈ ವರೆಗೂ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ರೂಢಿಯಲ್ಲಿದರಿಂದ ತಾವು ತಿನ್ನುವ ಈ ಆಹಾರವು ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೆಂದು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಬಲಹೀನವಾದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಕಲುಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದೆ.

7. ಆದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಇದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೆಲವು ಜನರು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವ ರೂಢಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ, ಆ ಜನರು ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವಾಗ ಅದು ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಪಿತವಾದದ್ದೆಂದು ಆಲೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವುದು ತಪ್ಪಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ದೃಢನಂಬಿಕೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅವರು ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವಾಗ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದೋಷಿಗಳೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Some of you have spent your entire lives eating "idol meat," and are sure that there's something bad in the meat that then becomes something bad inside of you. An imagination and conscience shaped under those conditions isn't going to change overnight.
