50. ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಸೇಫನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ಆಲೋಚನಾ ಸಭೆಯವನೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನೂ ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ ಆಗಿ ದ್ದನು.

(ಮತ್ತಾಯ 27:57-61; ಮಾರ್ಕ 15:42-47; ಯೋಹಾನ 19:38-42) (50-51) ಅರಿಮಥಾಯ ಎಂಬುದು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಒಂದು ಊರು. ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಇದರ ನಿವಾಸಿ. ಇವನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಆಗಮನವನ್ನು ಇವನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದನು. ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಹಿರಿಸಭೆಯ ಸದಸ್ಯನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ನಾಯಕರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇವನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಲಿಲ್ಲ.
