13. ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೂರು ಮತ್ತು ನಾಲ್ಕರ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ವಾಗಿ ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗುವ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ದಿಲ್ಲ; ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇರೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತಾರ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯರನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

13. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ಅನೇಕಾನೇಕ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರನ್ನು ನಾನು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು. ಆ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೈವಶಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತಾರ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
