4. ಆದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಆಕೀಷನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಹಳ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು, “ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸು! ನೀನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಲೇಬೇಕು. ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ, ಆಗ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಶತ್ರುವಿದ್ದಂತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜನ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

4. ಆದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ರೌದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಇವನು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಶತ್ರುವಾಗಿರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇವನನ್ನು ಬರಗೊಡದೆ ನೀನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡು. ಇವನು ಯಾತರಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ದೊರೆಗೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಷ್ಟನಾಗ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಅದು ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ತಲೆಗಳಿಂದಲ್ಲವೇ?

4. ಆದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡು, ಇವನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ನೀನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸಿಸಲಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಬಾರದು. ಬಂದರೆ ನಮಗೆ ಶತ್ರುವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಾನು, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಇವನು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಲ್ಲವೇ?
