9:40. ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಜನರು ಗಾಳ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟಿದರು. ಗಾಳನ ಜನರು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಶೆಕೆಮ್ ನಗರದ ದ್ವಾರದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಓಡಿದರು. ದ್ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಟ್ಟುವ ಮೊದಲೇ ಗಾಳನ ಹಲವಾರು ಜನ ಹತರಾದರು.

9:40. ಆದರೆ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋದನು. ಪ್ರವೇಶ ದ್ವಾರದ ವರೆಗೆ ಅನೇಕರು ಸಂಹಾರವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡರು.

9:40. Abimelech chased him, and Gaal ran from him. Many Shechemites fell wounded at the entrance of the gate.
