6:32. ಯೋವಾಷನು, “ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನು ಬಾಳನ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿದ ಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಳನು ಅವನೊಡನೆ ವಾದಿಸಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅಂದು ಯೋವಾಷನು ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನಿಗೆ ಯೆರುಬ್ಬಾಳ9 ಎಂಬ ಹೊಸ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

6:32. ಗಿದ್ಯೋ ನನು ಬಾಳನ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡಲೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯೆರುಬ್ಬಾಳನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.

6:32. That very day Gideon's father named him Jerub-Baal, because he had said, "Let Baal fight with him, for it was his altar that was pulled down."

6:32. From then on Gideon was called Jerub-baal, which means "Let Baal defend himself," because he broke down Baal's altar.

6:32. Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal contend against him, because he hath broken down his altar.

6:32. Therefore on that day Gideon was called Jerubbaal, that is to say, "Let Baal contend against him," because he broke down his altar.

6:32. Joash said, "If Gideon pulled Baal's altar down, let Baal argue with him." On that day Joash gave Gideon a new name. He called him Jerub Baal.

6:32. Therefore on that day he named him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal contend against him, because he has broken down his altar.
