1:28. ಅನಂತರ ಇಸ್ರೇಲರು ಪ್ರಬಲರಾಗಿ ಬಲವಂತದಿಂದ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಗುಲಾಮರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಮನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಗಟ್ಟಲು ಇಸ್ರೇಲರಿಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.

1:28. ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಬಲಗೊಂಡಾಗ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಡದೆ ಕಪ್ಪಕೊಡಲು ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
