1:12. ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಯುದ್ಧ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಕಾಲೇಬನು ಜನರಿಗೆ, “ಕಿರ್ಯತ್‌ಸೇಫೆರನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಛೆ. ಆ ನಗರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಧಾಳಿಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದುಕೊಟ್ಟವನಿಗೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಅಕ್ಷಾಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

1:12. ಕಾಲೇಬನು--ಕಿರ್ಯತೆಸೇಫೆರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯಾದ ಅಕ್ಷಾ ಳನ್ನು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನು.

1:12. Caleb said, "To the man who attacks and captures Kiriath Sepher I will give my daughter Acsah as a wife."

1:12. Caleb said, "I will give my daughter Acsah in marriage to the one who attacks and captures Kiriath-sepher."

1:12. And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.

1:12. And Caleb said, "He who attacks Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will give him Achsah my daughter for a wife."

1:12. And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.

1:12. And Caleb said, "He who attacks Kiriathsepher and takes it, I will give him Achsah my daughter as wife."

1:12. And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.

1:12. and Caleb saith, `He who smiteth Kirjath-Sepher -- and hath captured it -- then I have given to him Achsah my daughter for a wife.`

1:12. Before they started to fight, Caleb made a promise to the men. He said, "I will give my daughter Acsah in marriage to whoever attacks and conquers Kiriath Sepher."

1:12. Caleb said, He who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter as wife.
