1:6. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿರಬೇಕು. ದೇವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂದೇಹಪಡದಿರಿ. ಸಂದೇಹಪಡುವವನು ಸಾಗರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಅಲೆಯಂತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಗಾಳಿಯು ಬೀಸಿದಾಗ ಅಲೆಯು ಮೇಲೆದ್ದು ಬೀಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಂದೇಹಪಡುವವನು ಆ ಅಲೆಯಂತಿರುವನು.

1:6. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೂ ಸಂದೇಹ ಪಡದೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಸಂದೇಹಪಡುವ ವನು ಗಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ಬಡಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ತೆರೆ ಯಂತೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವನು.
