1:4. ನಾವು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ ಮಾಡಲು ಕಾರಣವೇನೆಂದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗಿರುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ, ದೇವಜನರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

1:4. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಇಟ್ಟ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ;
