3:5. ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಎಂಟನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿಯಾಯಿತು. ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವನು ಮತ್ತು ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನನ ಕುಲದವನು. ನಾನು ಇಬ್ರಿಯನು ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳು ಸಹ ಇಬ್ರಿಯರು. ನಾನು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದದ್ದೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ಫರಿಸಾಯನಾದೆನು;

3:5. ಎಂಟನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿಯಾಯಿತು; ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ವಂಶದವನು, ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಕುಲದವನು, ಇಬ್ರಿಯರಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಇಬ್ರಿಯನು; ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ನಾನು ಫರಿಸಾ ಯನು;

3:5. I was circumcised on the eighth day, from the people of Israel and the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews. I lived according to the law as a Pharisee.

3:5. I was circumcised when I was eight days old. I am a pure-blooded citizen of Israel and a member of the tribe of Benjamin-- a real Hebrew if there ever was one! I was a member of the Pharisees, who demand the strictest obedience to the Jewish law.
