4:8. ಆದಕಾರಣವೇ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಬರೆದಿದೆ: “ಆತನು ಆಕಾಶದ ಉನ್ನತಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಹೋದಾಗ, ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಾಳುಗಳಾಗಿ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.” ಕೀರ್ತನೆ 68:18

4:8. ಆದದರಿಂದ--ಆತನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಹೋದಾಗ ಸೆರೆಯನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು ಎಂದು ಆತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

4:8. Therefore it says, "When he ascended on high he captured captives; he gave gifts to men."

4:8. That is why the Scriptures say, "When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people."
