5:1. ಈಗ ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರವಿದೆ. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೃಢವಾಗಿರಿ. ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮತ್ತೆ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಗುಲಾಮಗಿರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಡಿರಿ.

5:1. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿರಿ; ದಾಸತ್ವದ ನೊಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿರಿ.

5:1. For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery.
