4:1. ನಾನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಹೇಳುವುದೇನಂದರೆ: ಬಾಧ್ಯಸ್ತನು ಬಾಲಕನಾಗಿರುವಾಗ ಅವನಿಗೂ ಗುಲಾಮನಿಗೂ ಯಾವ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆಸ್ತಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಡೆಯನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವನು ಗುಲಾಮನಂತಿರುವನು.

4:1. ನಾನು ಈಗ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ, ಬಾಧ್ಯನು ತಾನು ಆಸ್ತಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಧಣಿಯಾ ಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಬಾಲಕನಾಗಿರುವ ತನಕ ದಾಸನಿಗೂ ಅವ ನಿಗೂ ಯಾವ ಭೇದವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

4:1. Now I mean that the heir, as long as he is a minor, is no different from a slave, though he is the owner of everything.

4:1. Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had.
