1:4. ನಮಗೆ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟವಿರುವಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇತರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸಲು ಇದರ ಮೂಲಕ ನಾವು ಸಹ ಶಕ್ತರಾಗುತ್ತೇವೆ. ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವಂತೆಯೇ ನಾವು ಸಹ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸಬಲ್ಲವರಾಗುತ್ತೇವೆ.
