9:8. ಇದರರ್ಥವೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಶರೀರ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲ. ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರೇ ದೇವರ (ನಿಜ) ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

9:8. ಅಂದರೆ--ಶರೀರ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ ಆತನ ಸಂತತಿಯೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
