5:12. ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು (ಆದಾಮ) ಮಾಡಿದ ಕೃತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಪಾಪವು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿತು. ಆ ಪಾಪದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮರಣವೂ ಬಂದಿತು. ಆದಕಾರಣವೇ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ಸಾಯಲೇಬೇಕು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

5:12. ಈ ವಿಷಯ ಹೇಗಂದರೆ, ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ನಿಂದಲೇ ಪಾಪವೂ ಪಾಪದಿಂದ ಮರಣವೂ ಲೋಕ ದೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿದವು; ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮರಣವು ಹೀಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿತು.

5:12. So then, just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all people because all sinned—

5:12. When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam's sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.
