13:8. ಜನರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಾಲಗಾರರಾಗಿರಬೇಡಿ. ಆದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಸಾಲಗಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಇತರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ಇಡೀ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಧೇಯನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

13:8. ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಋಣವೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ಸಾಲವೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಇರ ಬಾರದು. ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
