12:15. ಈ ಜನರು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ವಂಚಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆಂಬುದು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿತ್ತು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಏಕೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ? ನನಗೆ ಒಂದು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಿರಿ, ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದನು.

12:15. ನಾವು ಕೊಡಬೇಕೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೊಡಬಾರದೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಕಪಟವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಶೋಧಿ ಸುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಒಂದು ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಂದು ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

12:15. But he saw through their hypocrisy and said to them, "Why are you testing me? Bring me a denarius and let me look at it."

12:15. Should we pay them, or shouldn't we?" Jesus saw through their hypocrisy and said, "Why are you trying to trap me? Show me a Roman coin, and I'll tell you."

12:15. Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why make ye trial of me? bring me a denarius, that I may see it.

12:15. But, knowing their hypocrisy, he said to them, "Why put me to the test? Bring me a denarius and let me look at it."

12:15. But Jesus knew that these men were really trying to trick him. He said, "Why are you trying to catch me saying something wrong? Bring me a silver coin. Let me see it."
