18:21. ಆಗ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ಪ್ರಭುವೇ, ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನು ನನಗೆ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದ್ದರೆ ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಲ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಬೇಕು? ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಏಳು ಸಲ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಬೇಕೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

18:21. ತರುವಾಯ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಬೇಕು? ಏಳು ಸಾರಿಯೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

18:21. Then Peter came to him and said, "Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother who sins against me? As many as seven times?"
