15:4. ‘ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ನೀಡಿ’ ಎಂಬುದು ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆ. ‘ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಹೀನೈಸಿದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕು’ ಎಂಬುದೂ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆ.

15:4. ಯಾಕಂ ದರೆ ದೇವರು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಬೇಕು. ಮತ್ತು--ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನಾ ಗಲೀ ಶಪಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಸಾಯಲೇಬೇಕು ಎಂಬದೇ.

15:4. For God said, 'Honor your father and mother' and 'Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.'
