21:24. ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರೇಲರು ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರು ಅರ್ನೋನ್ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ಯಬ್ಬೋಕ್ ನದಿಯವರೆಗಿರುವ ಅವನ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರು ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರ ಮೇರೆಯವರೆಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಗಡಿಯನ್ನು ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರೇಲರು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.

21:24. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದು ಅವನ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅರ್ನೋನ್‌ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಯಬ್ಬೋಕ್‌ ನದಿಯ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇರೆಯ ವರೆಗೂ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇರೆ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿತ್ತು.

21:24. But the Israelites defeated him in battle and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as the Ammonites, for the border of the Ammonites was strongly defended.

21:24. But the Israelites slaughtered them with their swords and occupied their land from the Arnon River to the Jabbok River. They went only as far as the Ammonite border because the boundary of the Ammonites was fortified.

21:24. And Israel smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from the Arnon unto the Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon; for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.
