1:9. ಅವರು ಬಯಸುವುದು ಯುದ್ಧವೊಂದನ್ನೇ. ಅವರ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಸುವ ಗಾಳಿಯ ತರಹ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವದು. ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಮರಳಿನಷ್ಟು ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

1:9. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವರು; ಅವರ ಮುಖಗಳು ಮೂಡಣ ಗಾಳಿ ಯಂತೆಯೇ ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವವು; ಸೆರೆಯವರನ್ನು ಮರ ಳಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಸುವರು.

1:9. All of them intend to do violence; every face is determined. They take prisoners as easily as one scoops up sand.

1:9. "On they come, all bent on violence. Their hordes advance like a desert wind, sweeping captives ahead of them like sand.

1:9. They come all of them for violence; the set of their faces is forwards; and they gather captives as the sand.

1:9. The one thing they all want to do is fight. Their armies will march fast like the wind in the desert. And the Babylonian soldiers will take many prisoners—as many as the grains of sand.
