2:8. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಕುಮಾರಿಯ ಪೌಳಿಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನು ಅಳತೆದಾರದಿಂದ ಒಡೆಯಬೇಕಾದ ಗೋಡೆಗೆ ಗುರುತು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನು ತಾನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನಾಶನವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಪೌಳಿಗೋಡೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಗೋಪುರಗಳು ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಗೋಳಾಡುವಂತೆ ಆತನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವೆರಡೂ ಕುಸಿದುಹೋಗಿವೆ.

2:8. ಕರ್ತನು ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಮಗಳ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ನಾಶ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಗೆರೆಯನ್ನು ಎಳೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸುವದರಿಂದ ಹಿಂತೆಗೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರಾಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಗೋಡೆ ಯನ್ನೂ ಗೋಳಾಡುವಂತೆ ಆತನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಅವೆರಡೂ ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಿ ಕುಸಿದು ಹೋಗಿವೆ.

2:8. The LORD was determined to tear down Daughter Zion's wall. He prepared to knock it down; he did not withdraw his hand from destroying. He made the ramparts and fortified walls lament; together they mourned their ruin.&u05D8; (Tet)

2:8. The LORD was determined to destroy the walls of beautiful Jerusalem. He made careful plans for their destruction, then did what he had planned. Therefore, the ramparts and walls have fallen down before him.
