2:2. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸಿದನು. ಆತನು ಕನಿಕರವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ತನ್ನ ಕೋಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮಗಳ ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸಿದನು. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯೆಹೂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸಿದನು. ಆತನು ಯೆಹೂದ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಮಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

2:2. ಕರ್ತನು ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸದೆ ನುಂಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮಗಳ ಭದ್ರವಾದ ಸ್ಥಾನಗಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ರೋಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಡವಿಹಾಕಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆತನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಲ ಸಮ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆತನು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

2:2. The Lord destroyed mercilessly all the homes of Jacob's descendants. In his anger he tore down the fortified cities of Daughter Judah. He knocked to the ground and humiliated the kingdom and its rulers.&u05D2; (Gimel)

2:2. Without mercy the Lord has destroyed every home in Israel. In his anger he has broken down the fortress walls of beautiful Jerusalem. He has brought them to the ground, dishonoring the kingdom and its rulers.
