57:17. ಈ ಜನರು ದುಷ್ಟಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿ ನನಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರೇಲನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿದೆನು. ನಾನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಮುಖನಾದೆನು. ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತೊರೆದು ತನಗಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.

57:17. ಅವನ ದುರಾಶೆಯ ಅನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಕೋಪ ಗೊಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದೆನು. ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ರೋಷಭರಿತ ನಾದೆನು; ಅವನು ಮೊಂಡತನದಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

57:17. I was angry because of their sinful greed; I attacked them and angrily rejected them, yet they remained disobedient and stubborn.
