9:16. ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನಂದರೆ, ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಶಕ್ತಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಉತ್ತಮ. ಅವರು ಆ ಬಡವನ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೂ ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದಿದ್ದರೂ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಉತ್ತಮವಾದದ್ದೇ.

9:16. ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು--ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಬಲಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದದ್ದಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಬಡವನ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು.

9:16. So I concluded that wisdom is better than might, but a poor man's wisdom is despised; no one ever listens to his advice.

9:16. So even though wisdom is better than strength, those who are wise will be despised if they are poor. What they say will not be appreciated for long.
