3:1. ಇದಾದ ಬಳಿಕ ರಾಜನಾದ ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷನು ಹಾಮಾನನನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿದನು. ಹಾಮಾನನು ಹಮ್ಮೆದಾತನೆಂಬವನ ಮಗನು. ಇವನು ಅಗಾಗನ ವಂಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅರಸನು ಹಾಮಾನನನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿ ಬೇರೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ವಿಶೇಷವಾದ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಿಸಿದನು.

3:1. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಾದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷನು ಅಗಾಗ್ಯನಾದ ಹಮ್ಮೆದಾತನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹಾಮಾನನನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡವ ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗಿಂತ ಅವನ ಆಸನವನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
