8:18. ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡವಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ, ಇದ್ದೋವಿನ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರು ಇವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು: ಮಹ್ಲೀಯ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಣನಾದ ಶೇರೇಬ್ಯ, ಮಹ್ಲೀಯು ಲೇವಿಯ ವಂಶದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಲೇವಿಯು ಇಸ್ರೇಲನ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವರು ಸಹ ತಮ್ಮ ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು. ಒಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ 18 ಮಂದಿ ಗಂಡಸರಿದ್ದರು.

8:18. ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಹಸ್ತವು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಲೇವಿಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಮಹ್ಲೀಯ ಕುಮಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಯುಳ್ಳವನಾದ ಶೇರೇಬ್ಯನೂ ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರರೂ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ಆದ ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನೂ

8:18. Due to the fact that the good hand of our God was on us, they brought us a skilled man, from the descendants of Mahli the son of Levi son of Israel. This man was Sherebiah, who was accompanied by his sons and brothers, 18 men,

8:18. Since the gracious hand of our God was on us, they sent us a man named Sherebiah, along with eighteen of his sons and brothers. He was a very astute man and a descendant of Mahli, who was a descendant of Levi son of Israel.

8:18. And according to the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of discretion, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;

8:18. And by the good hand of our God on us, they brought us a man of discretion, of the sons of Mahli the son of Levi, son of Israel, namely Sherebiah with his sons and kinsmen, 18;

8:18. And by the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;

8:18. And by the good hand of our God upon us, they brought us a man of discretion, of the sons of Mahli the son of Levi, son of Israel, namely Sherebiah with his sons and kinsmen, eighteen;

8:18. And according to the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of discretion, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;

8:18. And they bring to us, according to the good hand of our God upon us, a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, son of Levi, son of Israel, and Sherebiah, and his sons, and his brethren, eighteen;

8:18. Because God was with us, they sent Sherebiah, a skilled man from the descendants of Mahli (Mahli was a son of Levi, one of Israel's sons.) They also sent his sons and brothers, 18 men in all.
