29:31. ಯಾಕೋಬನು ರಾಹೇಲಳನ್ನು ಲೇಯಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನು ನೋಡಿದನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಲೇಯಳಿಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ರಾಹೇಲಳಿಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

29:31. ಲೇಯಳು ತಾತ್ಸಾರವಾದಳೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವಳ ಗರ್ಭವನ್ನು ತೆರೆದನು. ಆದರೆ ರಾಹೇಲಳು ಬಂಜೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.
