28:12. ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕನಸಾಯಿತು. ಆ ಕನಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಏಣಿ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿತ್ತು, ಅದರ ತುದಿ ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ದೇವದೂತರು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಲೆರುತ್ತಾ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಕಂಡನು.

28:12. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಕನಸು ಕಂಡನು. ಇಗೋ, ಏಣಿಯು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ಅದರ ತುದಿಯು ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ಇಗೋ, ದೇವದೂತರು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರುತ್ತಾ ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.
