18:31. ಆಮೇಲೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು, “ನನ್ನ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಏನೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳದಿರಲಿ. ನಾನು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಕೇಳುವೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರಿದ್ದರೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡುವೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನು ಕಂಡರೆ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

18:31. ಅವನು--ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಾರು ಅಂದಾಗ ಆತನು-- ಆ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

18:31. Abraham said, "Since I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty are found there?" He replied, "I will not destroy it for the sake of the twenty."
