18:29. ಮತ್ತೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ, “ಕೇವಲ ನಲವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನು ಕಂಡರೆ, ನೀನು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವೆಯಾ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಲವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನು ಕಂಡರೂ ನಾನು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

18:29. ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಆತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇನ್ನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಾರು ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು--ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

18:29. Abraham spoke to him again, "What if forty are found there?" He replied, "I will not do it for the sake of the forty."
